Fight On Mountaineers!

Ah, what a wonderful weekend for football! While SC's victory this weekend wasn't too much to write home about, I'll take the win and smile anyway. But I'm awfully proud of the little team that could - Appalachian State!

The rest of the weekend was most excellent as well. Ryan and Sara were fantastic hosts and took us to all our favorite Seattle haunts and a few new ones. We had a great time riding the ferry and hitting the parks with little Zig in tow. He really loved the water rushing by on the ferry. Bainbridge Island was super cute, and much bigger than I thought. Everyone was kind enough to let me pop into the yarn store there and I picked up 2 hanks of Malabrigo in Pagoda (I'd not seen this colorway elsewhere in person), a hank of BSA to finish a scarf I started but thought was too short and, the best part of all, a hank of Handmaiden Sea Silk in a bright and happy green.

Is it wrong to want to move to Seattle after such a wonderful weekend? Man, I've got some wanderlust!
