Home Again
I had a very quiet flight yesterday from Amsterdam to SFO. I spent the entire flight designing and knitting my new gauntlets. They're the ones I'm making myself to keep my hands warm while working (or playing) on the computer from the Lion and Lamb I bought just before Christmas. I am almost done with the first one and I think I really like it. I just have to finish the thumb. I think I'm going to publish the pattern here on my site, as it's been a while since I've put up a new pattern. Anyhow, I'll have pictures at the very least in a couple of days.
After arriving in SFO I got the happy news that Grant would be working from home the rest of the afternoon, so I got to enjoy his company in the den all day. We grabbed an early dinner and I called it a night at 7:30 pm. I had wanted to last until 9, but I failed. Other than waking up for about half an hour at 5 am, I slept through until my usual 8:30 am. Which is why I'm trying to understand why jet lag is hitting me like a ton of bricks right now. I mean sure, I was awake for 24 hours straight (I woke up at 4:30 am German time and went to bed at 7:30 pm CA time that same day), but then I slept for 12. You'd think I'd be ok, but I'm not. Ah well. We'll see how long I last today at the office.
Germany was fabulous, but it is good to be home with Grant and the kitties.
Wow - what a trip! I think I have spenditis too - if you find a cure, please share it! Also can't wait to see the gauntlets.
Cheers!
Missed you last night at meet-up, but I'm guessing you were pooped. There's a great new yarn store in San Mateo you must check out!
I am soooo happy that you got home safe and also that Grant was there. Oh well, take care little Lamb and also tell me..did you get the post-card I sent you with a check??, I am just curious that it did not get lost so let me know. Loves you, Dad. Once again the computer is acting up so don't panic if I am not able to answer. BYE>>!!
